Survivorship Resources

For Every Body. For Every Journey.

Survivorship isn’t a stage or a finish line. It isn’t only for people diagnosed with breast cancer.

It’s a way of living — and it belongs to all of us.

Whether you’re in active treatment, living with metastatic disease, supporting someone you love, carrying elevated risk, or simply striving to live a healthier, more joyful life, survivorship is shaped by the everyday practices that help us thrive.

It’s choosing movement that feels good.

It’s nourishing our bodies with foods that support health and healing.

It’s understanding our breast health and learning steps that may reduce risk.

It’s finding community, gratitude, and purpose in each day — no matter where we are on life’s timeline.

At The DONNA Foundation, we believe everyone deserves access to the tools, knowledge, and encouragement to live well. These resources are here to support every body, every pace, every path, and every journey.

Why Survivorship Belongs to All of Us

Breast cancer survivorship takes many forms:

  • Some people complete treatment and enter a new phase of life.
  • Some will remain in treatment indefinitely.
  • Some live with metastatic disease and navigate care continuously.
  • Some are at higher risk due to genetics or family history.
  • And all of us — whether touched by breast cancer or not — benefit from strong nutrition, movement, knowledge, and supportive community.

Survivorship is not a medical status. It’s a community. A mindset. A choice to live with love, not fear.

PILLAR ONE

Movement for Every Journey

Movement is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve wellbeing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It helps reduce recurrence risk, supports strength during and after treatment, manages stress and fatigue, and connects us with others. Our races create spaces where:
  • Every pace, distance, and ability is welcomed
  • Survivors, thrivers, and families celebrate life together
  • Movement becomes joyful instead of intimidating
  • People in all stages of treatment feel supported to move safely
  • First-timers and seasoned athletes share a common path forward

Through our partnership with Jeff Galloway Training Programs, we help anyone — truly anyone — get from “couch” to whatever goal they choose.

PILLAR TWO

Education to Live Well, at Every Stage

Education gives us confidence. It helps us understand our bodies, navigate care, make informed choices, and advocate for ourselves and those we love.
Our Health & Wellness Expo is the heart of our survivorship education efforts — a two-day gathering where thousands of runners, survivors, caregivers, families, health-minded community members, and partners come together to learn, explore, and connect.
Within the Expo, attendees have access to evidence-based breast health education presented by leading physicians, researchers, and clinicians from Mayo Clinic. These sessions offer guidance for individuals in every stage of their breast health journey, always delivered with clarity, compassion, and hope.
Each Fearless Series event includes mission-aligned partners who offer wellness tools, breast health information, survivorship resources, caregiver support, and more — helping people build the knowledge and confidence to live well.
Survivorship is not defined by a diagnosis. It’s defined by how we choose to live each day — with joy, connection, gratitude, and purpose.
The DONNA Pace — Coming Soon

Everyone has a pace.

Regardless of diagnosis, fitness, age, gender, or health status, each of us moves through life in our own rhythm — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That is the inspiration behind The DONNA Pace.

Soon, we will introduce a new way to access trusted guidance and perspectives from the friends and experts who walk beside us in this work. A space designed to support every person, at every stage, in living well — at their own pace. Stay tuned for The DONNA Pace.
