I started with The DONNA Foundation as a runner. Growing up in Jacksonville, I had heard of The DONNA for many years and in 2015 ran my first race. I trained for many months and thought I was prepared. But when I hit that bridge and came up on all the enormous pink boards with thousands of signatures and words of hope/love/strength/fearless – just wow. I was not prepared for the immediate shift in my soul that experience gave me. I was overcome with emotion and decided right then and there I wanted to help this organization defeat breast cancer and help families in every way I could. And so, I started. In 2016, I was able to facilitate a large corporate sponsorship joining the Foundation and currently volunteer running all social media channels and helping with events. I believe strongly in this organization and every single person who is a part of it. I am proud to call myself one of them.
