Annual Report: July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019
2019 was a year of growth and change for The DONNA Foundation. This report highlights the impact of all of our programs this year, including a 50% increase in demand on our services through the DONNA CareLine. 2019 was also a big year of change for our signature event, DONNA Marathon Weekend. The event moved to the beach, with a start and finish in the heart of Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach, Florida. The 2019 DONNA Marathon Weekend hosted a total of 6,599 participants, 69% of which were female, and a median age of 43. The event brought nearly 5,000 visitors from outside of the region including friends and family, generating 4,319 room nights, contributing an approximate $1,990,869 in direct economic impact and $3,442,062 in indirect economic impact. The beaches community of Jacksonville did not disappoint, and lifted thousands of athletes celebrating survivorship from all 50 States and 9 countries worldwide.
