Jacksonville Residents, Businesses and Organizations Pitch In
to Support The DONNA Foundation
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (October 5, 2017) – The DONNA Foundation is proud to celebrate some wonderful partners in the Month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Among the many businesses and organizations who are stepping up to help finish breast cancer and assist those living with the disease are the Neptune Beach Police Department, Jaffi’s and Intuition Ale Works.
“Each year we are humbled by our great community and all the wonderful individuals and groups that step up to support The DONNA Foundation during breast cancer awareness month,” says Donna Deegan, three-time breast cancer survivor and Founder of The DONNA Foundation. “It is only with the love, giving and participation of others that
we are able help so many families.”
To date, the foundation has supported more than 10,000 families in need and dispersed more than $5 million to fuel programs that support those living with the disease and fund ground breaking research. With 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer, that assistance is in high demand.
There are a variety of ways to help support The DONNA Foundation and those living with breast cancer in October and year-round. Neptune Beach Police “Pink Patch Project”— The Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort between the Los
Angeles County Police Chiefs’ Association and public safety agencies throughout the country. It is designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support organizations in combating this devastating disease. Locally, the Neptune Beach Police Department will be selling pink replica patches in the month of October with the proceeds
going to The DONNA Foundation. Each patch costs $10.00 and purchases can be made by visiting the Neptune Beach Police Dept., 200 Lemon St. Neptune Beach, FL 32266.
Jaffi’s Pink Party – Oct. 19 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Jaffi’s in Neptune Beach will host its annual Pink Party to benefit The DONNA Foundation. Guests will enjoy a night of fashion and fun, all for a great cause!
Intuition Ale Works— Intuition Ale Works is proud to announce the Survivor Saison, a light-bodied Farmhouse Ale with Raspberries, Cinnamon, and Vanilla. The Survivor Saison is a member of the Ladies Brew series, in which the beer itself is brewed by the ladies of Intuition. This beer has a bright pink hue, perfect for tapping during Breast Cancer Awareness month. All month long, Intuition Ale Works will be donating $1 for every pint of Survivor Saison sold in their taproom to The DONNA Foundation. Additionally, the brewery is inviting the community to join the staff of The DONNA Foundation on Wednesday, October 11th, at 5pm for Foundation Night and the release of the Survivor Saison.
Venus— Through their Bras with a Heart Campaign Venus will donate 10% of proceeds from ALL bras purchased at venus.com between October 1 – October 15, 2017 to The DONNA Foundation for breast cancer research and recovery.
Jacksonville Armada FC— Robert Palmer, owner of the Jacksonville Armada FC has pledged to donate $10 per ticket purchased from The DONNA Foundation website, www.thedonnafoundation.org, for any remaining home game in the month of October.
ZOOMA Florida— Oct. 21, The DONNA Foundation will serve as the Official Charity Partner of ZOOMA Florida Half Marathon, 12K and 5K in Amelia Island. DONNA encourages supporters to volunteer for this event, and a portion of registration fees will go towards The DONNA Foundation.
We Got Soccer— Located at 8570 Philips Hwy #109, Jacksonville, FL 32256, We Got Soccer will be collecting donations in support of The DONNA Foundation the full month of October. We Got Soccer is the official apparel partner to the Jacksonville Armada. They are open daily until 8pm and 6pm on Sundays. You can also stop by and
request an informational brochure on how you or someone you love can receive support.
4Rivers — 4Rivers will be fundraising with a month long Round Up Campaign at both of their Jacksonville locations: Baymeadows at 9220 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, Fla. 32256 and Orange Park at 220 Park Ave, Orange Park, Fla. 32073. While enjoying their smokehouse barbecue you will have the option to Round Up your check to the nearest dollar in support of The DONNA Foundation. You can also stop by and request an informational brochure on how you or someone you love can receive support.
Topgolf — Topgolf will host the first annual DONNA Foundation Topgolf Charity Event on November 12, 2017, from 1:00-5:00 pm. By purchasing your Topgolf bay in October you are ensuring that you and five of your friends/partners/associates will have one of the best spots on the tee line. Amazon Smiles — Amazon shoppers are able to support The DONNA Foundation in October and all year long by using Amazon Smiles. It is the same shopping experience, using a different web address. Visit www.smile.amazon.com and select The DONNA Foundation as the selected charity by entering 26-2736601 or 26.2 with DONNA. Amazon will contribute .5% of all purchases to The DONNA Foundation each time the Amazon Smiles account is used.
Matching gifts — Many employers will match gifts made to The DONNA Foundation by 100%. Check with your employer’s Human Resources department to see if your company participates in a matching gift program. If so they can assist you with the forms needed to request a matching gift in your name to The DONNA Foundation. Often, matching gifts can be made throughout the year.
Monthly Donor — One of the easiest ways to support The DONNA Foundation in October, and all year long is to join Team DONNA and become a monthly donor. Visit the website at www.thedonnafoundation.org, select DONATE, enter your support amount, and simply select MONTHLY. Each month The DONNA Foundation will receive your gift.
